Haigh’s dark chocolate (perhaps I should go for a sponsorship deal!), photography, travel, sharing knowledge, learning new things.
Mean people, inconsiderate people, unfairness.
Favourite Quote/Personal Motto:
Yeah, I’ll give it a go.
Who is your derby crush?
I have two! Both are extremely agile on their skates. That’s all I can reveal.
Where will we find you at the after party?
On a comfy lounge, watching the goings-on, and enjoying one-on-one conversations with people as they stop by.
What gets you fired up on the track?
Hearing bad calls and seeing bad sportsmanship. (See Dislikes).
Apologising for my mistakes. It’s still early days.
Rolled ankle, sprained medial ligament in my knee – and I haven’t even bouted yet!
Tattooed or Cleanskin?
Not sure I can say yet. She’s a Reggie and I’m a Medic. It’s very Romeo & Juliet.
What does derby mean to you?
As a spectator, it was about enjoying the big spills. As a competitor, it’s about challenging myself to learn new skills and to throw myself into a sport where there’s nowhere to hide.
What’s one thing everyone should know about you?
It’s always the quiet ones you have to watch.

Greatest derby moment:
Finding out I was part of Medic Mayhem. Followed closely by my first spontaneous apex jump during scrimmage. I landed with one skate off the track, got hip-checked to the floor by Kitty, then stood up and received a cutting penalty. Totally worth it!!
Earliest roller skating memory:
Being towed behind my twin brother’s BMX while wearing adjustable strap-on skates.
Black Reidell R3s, Radar Presto 93A wheels, a bloodied Protec helmet, and a secret stash of chocolate.
Rob Dougan’s ‘Clubbed To Death’ while I’m gearing-up then it’s definitely David Guetta’s ‘Titanium’ when I’m jamming.
Anyone who gets out there and gives it their best shot.
